I'm a rapper, tech geek, and writer. I look after kaupapa like Shoebox Christmas Aotearoa and with the help of some clever mates, the platform Koha Tree.
As I've been relearning the reo beaten out of my whakapapa, I've been learning the language of toki and whao (chisels), spoken by my Great Grandfather on my father's side Hona Webber and my Grandfather on my mother's side, Ray Moffatt.
Whakairo and mahi toi (carving and creative work) are a means to share stories, kōrero and aroha. It's how I make sense of the world as a listener and also how I try to have some small influence over what I hear and see.
I love the process of carving but most of what you’ll see on this page has a purpose.

Hi, im Huhana and I make the Worry Monsters and Gratitude Growers. They're a great way to express your different feelings. I like making them because they are helpful, and they are fun to make.
I also help my dad with whiriwhiri plaiting and earring hooks.
